Post interview words...

Okay, its Thursday, I sat the interview last Friday. We have established that I am not the best at writing entries here in a timely fashion.

The interview went well. I wasn't prepared for how nervous I would be. Once I sat down across the table from for 'senior' staff who were staring at me intently and hanging off every word I said I started to mumble and carry on. To be expected I guess.

Overall, I can't say I am unhappy with how I performed in the interview but I definately could have done it better. All good experience and hopefully next time it will be a little easier.

Have to wait on the outcome now.

Today's Job Interview

I am sitting my first real job interview today. I say real because its the first job I am applying for within my chosen profession.

Its a Web Development job within CQU (who I am currently working for in a different role). Truth be told there isn't a lot riding on this interview but I can't help but get nervous before any type of assessment. I feel that that is healthy though. If you never get nervous than that says to me that you are living with eyes closed.

Compiling software bites

I am trying to get an installation of Trac running under Solaris @ work. Not cool. Granted I am not a *NIX master by a long shot and don't have much of an idea of what I am doing, but still nothing is worth this much trouble.

I am sure people enjoy feeling all cool and smart using cryptic commands to get a software package up and running opposed to just clicking 'install' but I don't feel cool at all.

That said, it will be worth having a trac installation when I am done ;)
